Ingredients:
2 C whole wheat flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons butter
3/4 C plus 2 tablespoons whole milk (or buttermilk)
Method:
Preheat oven to 450° F.
In a medium bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter with a fork or pastry cutter until crumbly.
Add milk and mix until the dough is easily handled. Pat dough on floured surface to about 1-inch thickness. Cut with top of a glass or biscuit cutter.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet, sides slightly touching.
Bake 12 minutes or until tops are lightly browned.
